Exams and Eyeglasses for Students at Cristo Rey High School in Brooklyn, New York
Dr. Desmond Parkin is a firm believer in giving back to the community, and was delighted to have the opportunity to revisit Cristo Rey High School in Brooklyn with some surprises for students.
Dr. Parkin is well aware that more than 70% of what a child learns is through the visual system, and clear vision is a critical component of academic success. Driven by his passion for education and deep affinity for Brooklyn, Dr. Parkin and his VisionAppoint team visited Cristo Rey High School in Brooklyn in March 2015 where he performed eye exams for approximately 20 students whom also received later received prescription eyeglasses at no cost.
